|About the Book|
The book consists of nearly 70 papers presented at the ENVIROSOFT conference held in Como, Italy, in September, 1996. Commemorating a decade of growth and continuing interest in the intersection of computers with environmental engineering, this book measures both the development and application of computer techniques to environmental studies. The conference brought together managers, scientists and engineers involved in the creation, development or application of computer software to environmental problems. They shared the most recent developments and practical implementations in the theoretical, numerical, and applicable aspects of computer analysis, simulation, modeling, control, and forecasting for environmental applications. The connection between originators of environmental software programs and their possible users should help to reduce the present large duplication of effort in software development. The book consists of 11 sections. Each section incorporates up to 16 papers.
