Married as a teen in 1957, Terry Jacobson kept notes and pictures as they moved thirty-four times, both stateside and overseas. The Air Force life she and her husband chose as their career offered opportunities and challenges far removed from her childhood in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Never dull, her life was very different from that of most civilian wives. The story takes you via armchair travel from the island of Okinawa, with a year of severe water rationing and termite infestation, to cruising Egypts exotic Nile River, castle hopping in Germany, and many other exciting adventures. This joyful life story, filled with unusual trials and tribulations, will bring a bit of laughter to your life and have you talking about it for days. The oldest of four children, Terry Jacobson inherited her love of travel from her dad. Having lived in five countries and visited forty-nine, Terrys life skills developed as she meshed child rearing, housekeeping, cooking and personal growth with exotic and unfamiliar cultures. Besides raising four children, Terry attended college and floral design school, and served as both a cosmetology instructor and travel agent to supplement their military income. Still a part-time travel professional Terry and hubby often visit friends worldwide. Enjoy the ride as Terry Jacobson shares her stories of being a military family, and learn how she coped!
